puppies needing love!

Thanks for your help in spreading the word about Paws & Co. Adoptions (www.facebook.com/PawsCoAdoptions) – whether you foster, donate, share photos or tell your friends to adopt their next pet, it ALL makes such a difference! Thank you! (PS – there is a little gem at the end of this email … totally worth reading to the bottom!)

Now on to the puppy love … or rather, puppies needing love!
All of these dogs are good with other dogs and very sweet – please let me know if you’re interested in any of them. They would be arriving this weekend, so I need to know ASAP.

Kennel 17 – Tan, female terrier, about 35 pounds, 1-2 years old, she’s energetic but gentle – she’s very good with other dogs.

RF-1 – Black & Tan, Male mix 9-10 months old. Sits and shakes. Very sweet.

RF-2 – Black & White, Female Boston terrier mix not spayed, approx. 20 lbs., 1 year old. Good with other animals. Shy but warms up quickly

RF-3 – Male, Neutered German Shepard/Chow Mix. 9 Years old. Very Sweet. Likes everyone. He was born with part of his back foot missing.

Cain – a 2-year-old male, shepherd mix: Cain is eager to please, is very sweet and has some basic obedience.

Kia – a 6-month old Husky mix with one blue eye. Sweet dog, great temperament.

In closing, I wanted to share a text I received from my contact in Burlington tonight. This is the person I’m normally frantically working with at this time of week to try to place dogs in foster and work out transport. In the last two weeks we’ve pulled six dogs from Burlington and emptied their pound this last week … well, here’s what is said tonight:

“Feels strange to not be trying to arrange plans, our pound is empty!!!! Just wanted to tell you thank you again for everything :) I used to be the one that went out to take pictures out at the pound and a day came when I just couldn’t handle the heartbreak anymore. Just didn’t know where to turn or what to do, your action and support has meant so much to me and the other community members that want to get dogs good homes. All of the local buzz around the pound has triggered others to take action too and I really think something amazing is happening right now. A local Boy Scout is trying to earn his Eagle badge and is going to reconstruct and remodel the outdoor kennels. There is also a local motorcycle group that is having a “Poker Run” to raise money to improve the pound. Just wanted to let you know and say thank you a million more times :)”

Thank you all for owning a piece of Paws & Co. Adoptions. We would not be able to make changes like this without each and every one of you.

All my best,
Tiana
