Flobots.org!

Music can change the course of history. This is proven.
A mentor can change the course of a child’s life. This we know for sure.
So what happens when you combine music and mentorship in after-school programs in Denver?
That’s what Flobots.org would like to know, and that’s where you come in.

I am so excited to share with you something that has been very near and dear to my heart for 10 months now, Flobots.org, an arts an education nonprofit organization, has come a long way since I first joined join the Board of Directors. Currently we serve 200 students in Denver Public Schools and 100 students in youth residential treatment centers.  This year alone, we will also reach over 4,000 students in our community based-programming!
And that’s only the beginning of what’s in-store for Flobots.org. Over the next year, we are planning to bring a state-of-the-art Youth Media Studio to the mile high city. The studio will serve as a resource for at-risk and underserved youth populations who currently benefit from Flobots.org’s programs. In order to make our studio dream a reality, we are looking for continued support of our ongoing programs, particularly our Art to Action after-school classes. Art to Action programs pair professional musicians, artists and mentors with the students who need them most. See us in action at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EGMcJY8tnP8
With contributions from community members like you, we can help Flobots.org raise over $20,000 for their students. And, if you make a donation today, your contribution will be matched my our generous business sponsors – all of whom are local restaurants! You can’t get much more grass-roots than that!!!
Donating is easy. Visit http://flobots.giveo.com/. Explore the site. Watch the videos. Learn about the schools. Spread the word. And give what you can.
Thank you for your continued support of Flobots.org. I hope you will be as inspired by their efforts to improve the lives of young people as I am.
