The 8th Annual Cops Fighting Cancer Toy Drive and Casino Night

[showtime]

Cops Fighting Cancer and The Children’s Hospital are teaming up to help kids in Colorado who are fighting cancer.  On Thursday, December 9th from 6pm – 10pm, Cops Fighting Cancer and A-Dre Productions hosted “The 8th Annual Cops Fighting Cancer Toy Drive” to benefit The Children’s Hospital.

The highlight of the evening will be a “Toy Drive” where guests can either bring their own toy or purchase a toy at the event which will be given to a sick child right before Christmas.  The toys will be hand-delivered to the children by uniformed police officers from various law enforcement agencies all over Colorado.

The evening featured a “Casino and Cabaret” theme.  There was live music by Denver’s Hottest Cover Band, Kelli Said, and complimentary food and drinks. This was a night to remember with two casino rooms, featuring blackjack, poker, crap and roulette, a private VIP area including brandy and cigar tasting, a Frank Sinatra vocalist, Mini Balloon Auction, casino prizes and much, much more!

TV News reporters Nick Carter and Ginger Delgado most recently seen on KUSA 9News and KWGN Channel 2 News were our guest emcees and were  joined by our special guest and honoree Aurora Police Chief Oates.

This event was the kick-off to Cops Fighting Cancer’s Toy Drop that took place on December 15th, 2010.  Over 150 officers arrived at the hospital in a long procession line of more than 150 squad cars with flashing red and blue lights.  Those delivering the toys  included founder Jim Seneca, Police Chiefs, Mayors and District Attorneys from various communities.  This year’s Toy Drive will bring smiles to the faces of more than 1,000 kids!
